A day-long program of conversation, food and culture on Wurundjeri Country in the YarraValley, as part of TarraWarra Biennial 2025 : We Are Eagles.
Curated by Kimberley Moulton (Yorta Yorta), TarraWarra Biennial 2025 : We Are Eagles takes inspiration from the words of Pastor Sir Doug Nicholls, “We are not chickens; we are eagles.” This special event brings together artists, thinkers and communities in a gathering that celebrates cultural resurgence, resistance and renewal.
There'll be a chat between artist Tom Nicholson and Wurundjeri language-worker and artist Brooke Wandin, moderated by Kimberley Moulton. There'll also be a film screening and discussion with Kimberley Moulton and artist Moorina Bonini. Artist talks are happening with Brendan Kennedy and the people behind Kaiela Arts including Gallery and Exhibitions Coordinator, Chloe Jones. There'll be a community activation by artist Nadia Hernández in collaboration with Papelón—Footscray’s Latin American restaurant—where they'll invite you to share in Venezuelan music, food and conversation. The food and the exhibition are included in your ticket. There's also free return bus from Fed Square available too, departing at 10am and returning at 4.30pm. Bookings are essential.
