An Olivier-Award-winning hip hop production from one of Britain’s most exciting choreographers. One that asks—how can we fight through vice to find peace?

BLKDOG is dance as raw autobiography. Visionary British choreographer Botis Seva opens his life up for a kind of hip-hop exorcism—a storm of limbs, precise and unruly solos. A heaving fight through the smog of youth, out to where the light peaks through.

Backed by a pounding score from Seva’s long-time collaborator Torben Lars, a drilled squadron of seven dancers take to the stage in hooded caps. They plunge us into a non-stop and gripping, hallucinatory tale. A life story told with fluidity and drive. One that asks, how can the young survive a world not built for them?

Direct from the West End, BLKDOG is coming to RISING. The trip is wild and dark, but it smoulders with vitality and humility.

Botis Seva’s BLKDOG is very black, very street, intensely theatrical and totally entrancing
