Dressed up in country attire, two dancers show off their moves—one with their arms in the air, the other gripping their belt.

Dust off your boots and shine your belt buckle. It’s a boot-scooting spectacular in Melbourne Town Hall.

“Five, six, seven, eight…” Get set to throw down for the hoedown.

Gail (Abigail Varney) is a real-deal rodeo dance queen—denim and rhinestones. Glenn (Alice Glenn) is a concrete cowpoke and founder of No Lights, No Lycra. Together, they have over 30 years' experience dancing and teaching. Getting people out of their shells and lassoing them onto the floor.

As Country Struts, they’ve been hosting joyously received line dancing classes in Brunswick, Castlemaine and St Kilda. Now these boot scooting babies are RISING us crazy with a Country Struts extravaganza. It’s happening after SHOUSE’s mass-musicking surge at Communitas. Whether you’re brand new or a seasoned strutter, everyone’s welcome.

Just heel and toe, and away you go.
