Be among the first to explore Anzac Station as a free, First Nations-led hip hop show welcomes big sounds to the underground. Featuring Briggs, BARKAA, Birdz and Sensible J.
Next stop, Anzac Station.
It’s flanked by some of our biggest, greenest gardens, and will connect St Kilda Road to our train network for the first time when it opens later this year. Anzac Station is destined to be an underground icon. So, we’re celebrating its arrival with some iconic underground artists. Be among the first to take the escalators down to the new concourse for a Bad Apples Music takeover. There’ll be sets from Yorta Yorta rap powerhouse Briggs along with one of the fiercest and most energising names in rap—Malyangapa and Barkindji artist, BARKAA. Bad Apples labelmate Birdz is on the mic too and Sensible J is on the decks.
Descend to the platforms on a self-guided tour to see the heart of the Metro Tunnel and discover permanent artwork by Maree Clarke—a Yorta Yorta/Wamba Wamba/Mutti Mutti/Boonwurrung artist who’s been a pivotal figure in the reclamation of south-east Australian Aboriginal art for the last three decades.
The celebration is free and open for all ages.
